  THE CONSTRUCTION OF PARALLEL TAXIWAY AND REVISION OF AIRFIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM
AT SURAT THANI AIRPORT (VTSB)

1  INTRODUCTION

With effect from 1 October at 0000 UTC to 31 January 2027 at 1700 UTC, the purpose of this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the construction of parallel taxiway and revision of airfield lighting system revision at Surat Thani Airport (VTSB).

2  CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

2.1 The construction works at Surat Thani Airport include construction of parallel taxiway and revision of airfield lighting system.
2.2 Due to the construction, the width of runway strip will be reduced from 150 metres to 100 metres from runway centreline. The construction area covers the length of 1,300 metres from runway end on the right side of threshold runway 04 to threshold runway 22.
2.3 Taxiway M will be closed 24 HR and Taxiway A and B can be used normally.
2.4 The construction works will be performed daily 24 HR except when scheduled flights are operated.
2.5 Safety plan during construction:

  1. All vehicles and machinery in worksite will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags of flashing yellow lights.

  2. The construction site will be demarcated by highly visible barriers painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white.

  3. Personnel in worksite are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.

4  VALIDITY

This AIRAC AIP Supplement supersedes NOTAM A2879/26, C4294/26 and will remain current until 31 January 2027 at 1700 UTC. Any changes to this AIRAC AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
