1 INTRODUCTION
With effect from 1 October 2026 at 0130 UTC to 30 April 2027 at 1000 UTC, this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the installation of automated weather observing systems (AWOS) at Ranong Airport (VTSR).
2 INSTALLATION DETAILS
2.1 The AWOS installation will be carried out in airside at runway 02/20. The details are as follows:
2.1.1 The AWOS 02 located at 09° 46' 21.94" N, 098° 34' 56.39" E and cables (AWOS 02) installation will be conducted 370 metres away from the threshold of runway 02 and 100 metres left side from the runway centreline.
2.1.2 The AWOS 20 located at 09° 47' 00.04" N, 098° 35' 13.26" E and cables (AWOS 20) installation will be conducted 350 metres from the threshold of runway 20 and 100 metres from the runway centreline.
2.2 The installation works will be performed daily between 0130 - 1000 UTC except when scheduled flights are operated.
2.3 All vehicles and machinery in worksite will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights.
2.4 The installation locations will be demarcated by highly visible barriers painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white.
2.5 Personnel in worksite are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
2.6 The charts related to the construction and revision are attached herewith.
