  INSTALLATION OF AUTOMATED WEATHER OBSERVING SYSTEMS (AWOS) AT RUNWAY 01/19
AT LOEI AIRPORT (VTUL)

1  INTRODUCTION

With effect from 16 April 2026 at 0130 UTC to 30 June 2026 at 1000 UTC, this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the installation of automated weather observing systems (AWOS) at Runway 01/19 at Loei Airport.

2  DETAILS

2.1 The details of AWOS 01 and AWOS 19 installation at Runway 01/19 are indication below:

and 100 m to the left of Runway centerline.
AWOS 1917°26’41.96" N 101°43’22.63" EInstalled 402 m beyond of Runway Threshold 19,
and 100 m to the right of Runway centerline.
2.2 The installation works will be perform daily between 0130 - 1000 UTC except when scheduled flights are operated.
2.3 All working personnel and vehicles will enter to the site through the door near head of runway 01 only.
2.4 Throughout the installation period, all vehicles and machinery in the site will be equipped with 90x90 cm orange and white checkered flag or flashing yellow light. Personnel in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
2.5 All working personnel and vehicles require permission from the authorized airport officer to enter and exit at the designated areas.
2.6 Throughout the installation period, VTUL shall inform flight operater of declared emergency, if any at least 30 minutes before landing.
2.7 Due to physical airport landfield is unbalanced, must be calibrated by do a slope between AWOS equipments and runway 01/19 to meet the same height.
2.8 Dig and embed the signal and electronic lines into underground and connect to the Air Traffic Control building.
2.9 The charts related to installation are attached herewith.

4  VALIDITY

This AIRAC AIP Supplement will remain current until 30 June 2026 at 1000 UTC. Any changes to this AIRAC AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
