  WARNING OF SKY LANTERN ACTIVITY IN CHIANG MAI PROVINCE

1  INTRODUCTION

With effect from 5 November 2025 at 0300 UTC to 6 November 2025 at 1800 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform pilots and operators concerning the release of Sky Lantern activity for Loy Krathong Festival, Chiang Mai Province.

2  LOCATION

2.1 The release of Sky Lantern activity will take place to cover in both Chiang Mai and Lamphun Province.
2.2 Direction and height of released sky lanterns is unpredictable.

3  CAUTION

Sky Lanterns are released in a variety of sizes and heights. When released, it may drift considerable distance from the point of release to unpredictable areas and heights that may affect aircraft operations. The release of Sky Lantern affects airspace within the vicinity of an aerodrome and may distract pilots during flight.
