VTSK  AD 2.23  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1.  BIRD CONCENTRATIONS
1.1 Bird concentrations in the vicinity of the aerodrome. Resident birds and migratory birds are commonly found at Pattani Airport.
1.2 There are many birds throughout the year, mostly during the rainy season (May to December). Birds may use the aerodrome as their feeding and nesting ground.
1.3 There could be some activities to reduce bird populations, such as mowing the grass and plants. Grass mowing takes place in various areas such as the runway strip and taxiway strip. This activity may attract birds from sunrise to sunset. Pilots are advised to exercise caution.
1.4 Flocks of birds often gather on the runway at night, creating a hazard for aircraft.
2.  KITE FLYING NEAR AERODROME

The kite-flying season in the southern region occurs during the summer(January to May). This activity typically takes place within 1 nautical mile (NM) of an aerodrome, primarily in the northern, eastern, and southern areas around it. The kites do not exceed an altitude of 1,000 feet AGL and are flown daily between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
