  OPENING OF A NEW EXTENDED APRON AREA
AT MAE FAH LUANG-CHIANG RAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (VTCT)

1  INTRODUCTION

1.1 This AIP Supplement purpose is to inform airline operators and pilots of the opening of a new extended apron area and re-designation of apron taxilane and apron safety line, including involved aircraft stand lead-in line marking, with effect from 14 May 2025 at 2300 UTC.
1.2 Please refer to Appendix A for the enlarged location plan of a new extended apron area and re-designation of apron taxilane and apron safety line.
1.3 The relevant charts are revised as below:
1.3.1 The new aerodrome chart, see Appendix B.
1.3.2 The new aerodrome ground movement chart, see Appendix C.
1.3.3 The new aircraft parking/docking chart, see Appendix D.

2  DIMENSION OF A NEW EXTENDED APRON AREA

The width, surface, and strength of a new extended apron area are as follows:

3  VISUAL AIDS

3.1 The new apron surface markings has re-designed correspond with the extended apron area, details as following:
3.1.1 The previous apron taxilane has removed and a new apron taxilane is painted in yellow at a new location. See Appendix A.
3.1.2 The previous aircraft stand lead-in line markings has removed and a new aircraft stand lead-in line marking that are painted in yellow with an identification of parking position in a new location. See Appendix A.
3.1.3 The non-load-bearing marking are available around non-load-bearing surface (No-Taxi islands) that painted in yellow.
3.1.4 The previous apron safety line has removed and a new apron safety line is painted in red at a new location (See Appendix A). This apron safety line is intended for use by ground vehicles and other aircraft servicing equipment (Code letter E / up to B777-300ER), to provide safe separation from the other maneuvering aircraft.
3.2 The new apron lightings:
3.2.1 Taxiway edge lights are available around non-load-bearing surface (No-Taxi islands).
3.2.2 Apron edge lights are available for the new extended area.
