TEMPORARY TOWER CRANE AT NEARBY CHIANG MAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (VTCC)

1 INTRODUCTION

With effective from 23 January 2025 at 0000 UTC to 30 April 2025 at 1700 UTC, the purpose of this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform pilots and operators that there is a tower crane operation for construction of Chiang Mai Air Traffic Control Tower building. The crane location layout is shown in appendix.

2 LOCATION

2.1 Tower crane is erected on the construction site of Chiang Mai Air Traffic Control Tower building. The maximum height is 185 feet
(55 metres) above ground level (AGL) or 1217 feet (371 metres) above mean sea level (AMSL).

2.2 The crane will be lit at night and at low visibility.

2.3 The crane will be operating within a 118 metres radius at coordinates 184618.00N 0985802.90E.

2.4 Distance of crane 1030 metres beyond threshold Runway 18 and 470 metres left side of runway centreline.

4 VALIDATY

This AIRAC AIP Supplement supersedes NOTAM A3191/24, C4620/24 and will remain current until 30 April 2025 at 1700 UTC. Any changes to this AIRAC AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
