Personal briefing and consultation for flight crew members are provided only at the Aerodrome Meteorological Offices as following:
Flight documentation is provided for domestic flights and international flights, the flight documentation comprises significant weather charts, upper wind and upper air temperature charts and the latest available aerodrome forecasts for the destination and its alternate. Whenever possible the pilot-in-command or his representative is given personal briefing by a forecaster at the Aerodrome Meteorological Office, otherwise briefing may be carried out by telephone;
Area meteorological watch over Bangkok FIR with the supply of meteorological information including SIGMET information to aircraft in flight through the Bangkok ATS radio channels; and
Meteorological information for Air Traffic Service.
Meteorological documentation for current operational planning for all flights operating out of the international airports, whenever possible the pilot-in-command or his representative is given personal briefing by a forecaster at the Aerodrome Meteorological Office, otherwise briefing may be carried out by telephone;
Meteorological information including SIGMET information to aircraft in flight through the Bangkok ATS radio channels; and
Meteorological information for Air Traffic Services.
Forecasts of upper wind and upper-air temperature and SIGWX phenomena;
METAR or SPECI (including trend forecasts as issued in accordance with regional air navigation agreement) for the aerodromes of departure and intended landing, and for take-off, en-route and destination alternate aerodromes;
TAF or amended TAF for the aerodromes of departure and intended landing, and for take-off, en-route and destination alternate aerodromes;
SIGMET information and appropriate special air-reports relevant to the whole route;
volcanic ash and tropical cyclone advisory information relevant to the whole route; and
if appropriate, as determined by regional air navigation agreement, area forecasts for low-level flights in chart, and space weather advisory information relevant to the whole route.
The documentation for flights of two hours’ duration or less, after a short stop or turn around shall be limited to the information operationally needed, as agreed between the aerodrome meteorological office and the operator concerned, but in all cases, it shall at least comprise information on b), c), d), e) and f).

It is the responsibility of the operator or the pilot-in-command to notify the aerodrome meteorological office of any flight for which meteorological documentation is required (ref. ICAO Annex 3, paragraph 2.3). As much prior notice as possible should be given, and at least 2 hours before the expected time of departure for non-scheduled flight would be required at aerodrome meteorological office.
Special Aircraft Observations and Other Non-routine Aircraft Observations
moderate turbulence (MOD TURB) or severe turbulence (SEV TURB);
moderate icing (MOD ICE) or severe icing (SEV ICE); or
severe mountain wave (SEV MTW); or
thunderstorms with or without hail (that are obscured, embedded, widespread or in squall lines) (TSGR or TS); or
volcanic ash cloud (VA CLD).
