This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 22 February 2024 at 2300 UTC to 31 May 2024 at 0500 UTC, this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of runway width extension construction, overlay of runway 16/34 and taxiways pavement and airfield lighting systems revision at Hua Hin Airport. The details are as follows:
2.1 The construction works at Hua Hin Airport include width extension of runway 16/34 from 35 meters to 45 meters, overlay of runway 16/34 and taxiways pavement and airfield lighting systems revision.
2.2 The construction works will be performed daily between 2300 - 0500 UTC.
2.3 Flashing red lights (unserviceability lights) will be displayed 0.5 meters above ground level at intervals of 3 meters to demarcate construction site. Vehicles and machinery in the site are all equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights. Construction areas will be denoted by highly visible barriers painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white. Personnel in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
2.4 The charts related to the construction are attached herewith.
4 This AIRAC AIP Supplement will remain current until 31 May 2024 at 0500 UTC. Any change or postponement to this AIRAC AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
