1  INTRODUCTION

The Requirement of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) No. 42 on Granting the Foreign Air Operator with Permission (FAOP) for Conducting Commercial Air Transport into or from the Kingdom of Thailand has been published in the Government Gazette on August 24, 2023 and has been effective from August 25, 2023 onwards. This Requirement applies to foreign airlines currently operating and those intending to apply for operating into/from Thailand in the future.

2  DESCRIPTION

According to Article 15 of the Requirement, foreign air operators who have already conducted commercial scheduled or codesharing air transport operation into or from the Kingdom of Thailand prior to the effective date of this Requirement must submit an application form and document(s) via FAOP System from 15 January - 20 February 2024** and such foreign air operator is able to continue its operation until the Director General orders that the permission not be granted.
