OBSTACLE EQUIPMENT (LLWAS) AT MAE FAH LUANG-CHIANG RAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (VTCT)

1 INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1 With effect from 2 November 2023 at 0100 UTC, the purpose of this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform pilots and operators concerning the obstacle equipment (LLWAS) at Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport. The layout is shown in the appendix.

2.1 Obstacle type: Low-Level Wind shear Alert System (LLWAS) Equipment

2.2 Owner: Thai Meteorological Department

2.3 Location:

2.3.1 Coordinates: 195549.0 N 0995222.5 E

2.3.2 Distance of the equipment 1160 metres before threshold runway 03 and 255 metres right side of extended runway centreline

2.3.3 The equipment will be lighted at night and marked with alternate red and white

2.4 Elevation 1366.17 FT (416.41 M) AMSL. Height 82.02 FT (25 M) AGL.
