CONSTRUCTION OF NEW ARFF STATION AND REVISION OF AIRFIELD LIGHTING SYSTEMS
AT BURIRAM AIRPORT (VTUO)

1  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1  With effect from 23 October 2023 at 0000 UTC to 28 December 2023 at 1300 UTC, this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of opening of a new apron and taxiway B, extension of existing runway, taxiway and apron, construction of a new ARFF Station and revision of airfield lighting systems at Buriram Airport.

2  OPENING OF NEW APRON AND TAXIWAY B

2  A new apron (aircraft stand no. 8 and 9) and taxiway B will be open for service from 23 October 2023 at 0000 UTC to 28 December 2023 at 1300 UTC. The details are shown in the chart in Appendix C.

3  DETAILS OF CONSTRUCTION AND CLOSURE PERIOD

3.2   Mobile cranes will be operated daily to construct a new ARFF Station at an angle of 60 degrees and a lifting height of 25 metres as detailed in the following table:

3.3  Throughout the construction, all vehicles and machinery in the worksites will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags.

3.4  All personnel and vehicles require permission to enter and exit the designated areas.

3.5  All construction equipment will be cleared away before flight operations (take-off and landing).

3.6  The chart related to the construction is attached in Appendix A.

5  TRAFFIC LIMITATION

5.1  All training flights are not allowed to operate at Buriram Airport throughout the construction period.

7  This AIP Supplement supersedes AIRAC AIP Supplement B11/23 and NOTAM C2932/23 and will remain current until 28 December 2023 at 1300 UTC. Any changes to this AIRAC AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
