1  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1  With effect from 10 August 2023 at 0100 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform pilots and operators concerning the obstacle equipment (LLWAS) at Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport. The layout is shown in the appendix.

2.1  Obstacle type: Low-Level Wind shear Alert System (LLWAS) Equipment

2.2  Owner: Thai Meteorological Department

2.3  Location:

2.3.1  Coordinates: 195549.0 N 0995222.5 E

2.3.2  Distance of the equipment 1160 meters beyond threshold runway 03 and 255 metres right side of extended runway centreline

2.3.3  The equipment will be lighted at night and marked with alternate red and white

2.4  Hight: 82 FT (25 M) AGL
