  RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY EXTENSION, APRON EXPANSION, CARGO TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION AND AIRFIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM REVISION AT BURIRAM AIRPORT

1  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1  With effect from 10 August 2023 at 1300 UTC to 8 March 2024 at 2200 UTC, this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of construction works at Buriram Airport such as runway and taxiway extension, apron expansion, cargo terminal construction and airfield lighting system revision.
The details are as follows:

2   CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

2.1  The construction works at Buriram Airport include runway and taxiway extension, apron expansion, cargo terminal construction and airfield lighting system revision.

2.2  The construction works will be performed daily from 1300 UTC to 2200 UTC except when flights are operated. The affected runway, taxiways and apron will be closed during the construction as follows:

2.2.1  Runway 04/22 will be closed between 1300 - 2200 UTC except when flights are operated.

2.2.2  The construction of runway and taxiway strips will be performed 24 hours daily except when flights are operated.

2.2.3  Taxiway B will be closed from 10 August 2023 at 0000 UTC to 20 September 2023 at 1300 UTC.

2.2.4  The closure of taxiway A and apron will be notified through NOTAM.

2.3  Mobile cranes will be operated in construction at an angle of 60 degrees and a lifting height of 25 meters as detailed below:

2.4  Vehicles and machinery operating in the airside are required to equip 90 x 90 cm. orange and white checkered flags or flashing lights. Personnel in the worksite are required to wear a reflective safety vest and a safety helmet.

2.5  All personnel and vehicles require permission to enter and exit the designated areas.

2.6  Pilots are required to follow instructions of air traffic controller (ATC) throughout the construction period.

2.7  The charts related to the construction are attached in herewith.

3  AVAILABILITY OF NAVIGATION AIDS

6  This AIRAC AIP Supplement superseded NON-AIRAC AIP Supplement B 02/22, NOTAM C2316/23, C2210/23 and C1749/23 and will remain current until 8 March 2024 at 2200 UTC. Any changes to this AIRAC AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
