THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW TAXIWAYS AT SUVARNABHUMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (VTBS)

1 INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1 With effect from 6 June 2023 at 0000 UTC to 5 May 2024 at 2359 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned regarding the construction of new Taxiways and work activities nearby Runway 01L/19R at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. (See attachment A1 - A2)

2 THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW TAXIWAY F1, F4 AND F8

2.1 Location of construction areas

2.1.1 New Taxiway F1

2.1.1.1 Location: 491 metres from Threshold Runway 19R and 86 metres west side of Runway centreline.

2.1.1.2 Construction area coordinates:

2.1.2 New Taxiway F4

2.1.2.1 Location: 1840 metres from Threshold Runway 19R and 86 metres west side of Runway centreline.

2.1.3 New Taxiway F8

2.1.3.1 Location: 3205 metres from Threshold Runway 19R and 86 metres west side of Runway centreline.

2.2 Working details

2.2.1 All construction areas will be blocked off by 1 metre-high frangible barricades painted in alternate band of red and white, barricades
will be lighted by omni-directional fixed red lights spacing every 3 metres at night and during limited visibility conditions.

2.2.2 There is a presence of machinery operating in the construction areas with the heights that do not exceed the Obstacle Free Zone (OFZ).

3 THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION WORK OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND UTILITIES

3.1.1.1 Location: 317 metres before Threshold Runway 19R and 150 metres west side of extended Runway centreline.

3.1.2 Area B

3.1.2.1 Location: 369 metres before Threshold Runway 19R and 80 metres east side of extended Runway centreline.

3.2 Working details

3.2.1 There is a presence of machinery operating in the construction areas with the heights that do not exceed the Obstacle Free Zone (OFZ).

3.2.2 Construction area A and B are outside the boundary of Clearway Runway 01L.
