  THE CLOSURE OF TAXIWAY AND TAXILANE FOR PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION PHASE 1
AT SUVARNABHUMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (VTBS)

1  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1.1  Suvarnabhumi International Airport is undergoing the taxiway and taxilane pavement reconstruction project which will commence in
June 2023. The overall project will continue for approximately 14 months and will be divided into 3 phases with 11 construction areas.

1.2  This AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the construction Phase 1 which expected to take 4 months, consists of 3 construction areas. The works will take place from 6 June 2023 at 01.00 UTC to 8 October 2023 at 09.00 UTC. The details of the schedule and extent of the work areas are shown in the table below. (See attachment A1-A4)

2  THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE AREAS AND PERIODS

3  MARKING AND LIGHTING

3.1  The construction areas will be blocked off by maximum 0.45 metres of frangible barricades painted in alternate bands of orange and white and will be lighted by omnidirectional fixed red lights along the sections of the closure areas.

3.2  The closure markings are displayed on the entrances of the closure area (yellow crosses).

3.3  Taxiways and Taxilane Centre Line Lights and the signage on the construction areas are unserviceable.

4  Others

4.1  The closure period of works described in item 2 are tentative. Any revised to the closure program will be promulgated by NOTAM.

4.2  The project detail of constructions phase 2 and 3 will be issued by further AIP Supplement (s).
