This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 16 January 2023 at 1230 UTC to 30 May 2024 at 2300 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the construction of runway width extension, overlay of Runway 18/36 and airfield lighting system at Lampang Airport.
2.1 The construction includes runway width extension of Runway 18/36 from 30 metres to 45 metres, overlay of the Runway 18/36 and airfield lighting system.
2.2 The construction works will be performed daily from 16 January 2023 at 1230 UTC to 30 May 2024 at 2300 UTC except when flights are operated.
2.3 During the construction period, Runway 18/36 will be closed from 1230 UTC to 2300 UTC and will be opened for operation from 0030 UTC onwards.
2.4 Throughout the construction, vehicles and machinery in the site are all equipped by 90 x 90 cm “orange and white” or “red and white” checkered flags, flashing yellow lights, reflective tapes and fire extinguishers.
2.5 The height of all machinery and vehicles are not exceed 4 metres.
2.6 Contractor will be clearing the construction side and related field before 0030 UTC to prevent FOD.
2.7 All personnel and vehicles are able to enter and exit at the designated area only. Access to other areas must be permitted by airport officials.
2.8 During the ongoing construction, pilots shall be advised by air traffic controller (ATC) to operate flights with caution.
2.9 During the construction period. Airport operators will inform of declared emergency at least 30 minutes.
2.10 The charts related to the construction are attached herewith.
4 This AIP Supplement will remain current until 30 May 2024 at 2300 UTC. Any changes to this AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
