This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 25 November 2022 at 0100 UTC until 30 April 2023 at 1700 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned regarding the construction of Runway End Safety Area (RESA) of Runway 08 and Runway 26, the construction of blast pad and service road at Hat Yai International Airport.
2 The construction area will be conducted at the end of Runway 08 and Runway 26.
3.1 The construction work will be on a daily basis during 1500 – 2300 UTC. However, it will be started after the last flight operation with prior permission from air traffic control unit.
3.2 The works schedule consisting of construction of Runway End Safety Area (RESA), Blast Pad and Service Road for 2 phases will be as following:

4.1 Stopway for Runway 08/26 and stopway lightings will be unserviceable during Runway End Safety Area (RESA) construction period and declared distances will be changed as following table below.

4.2 The approach lighting system for RWY 08 will be unserviceable until further notice by NOTAM.
4.3 All construction equipment will be kept clear during aircraft arrival and departure operations.
4.4 All aircraft operators operating during these periods will be advised caution during take-off and landing by air traffic control unit.
4.5 In case of emergency flight, Medical-Evac flight or adhoc flight, such aircraft shall notify the ATS unit and the airport at least 30 minutes before landing.
5.1 The taxiway lighting system will be serviceable for aircraft operations.
5.2 The runway lighting system and PAPI for RWY 08/26 will remain serviceable.
6.1 The ILS will be serviceable.
6.2 The DVOR/DME will be serviceable.
7.1 The construction area will be blocked off by 0.55 metres-high frangible barricades painted in an alternate band of red and white. The barricades will be lighted by omni-directional fixed red lights at night and during limited visibility condition. (See attachment 4)
7.2 The machinery heights are not higher than 4 metres.
7.3 The layouts of construction areas are shown in attachment 1-3

9 This AIP Supplement superseded NOTAM A1864/22 (C3292/22), A1997/22 (C3488/22), A1999/22 (C3491/22) and A2029/22 (C3537/22) and will remain current until 30 April 2023 at 1700 UTC. Any changes to this AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
