This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 18 November 2022 at 0100 UTC to 8 February 2024 at 2200 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of apron extension, runway and taxiway overlay, construction of taxiway D, Runway 03/21 turn pad and Runway Safety Area (RESA), and revision of airfield lighting systems at Khon Kaen Airport. The details are as follows:
2.1 The construction works at Khon Kaen Airport include apron extension, overlay of runway and taxiways (A, B and C), construction of Taxiway D, Runway 03/21 turn pad, RESA and revision of airfield lighting systems.
2.2 During the construction period, Runway 03/21 and taxiways will be closed.
2.3 The construction works will be performed daily between 0100 - 1000 UTC and 1400 - 2200 UTC except when scheduled flights are operated.
2.4 Lighted red cross (X) will be installed at 3 metres away from the start of construction area at night. All vehicles and machinery in the site will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights. Construction areas will be demarcated by highly visible barricades painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white. Personnel in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
2.5 The charts related to the construction are attached herewith.
4 This AIP Supplement superseded AIP Supplement B04/22 and will remain current until 8 February 2024 at 2200 UTC. Any changes to this AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
