This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 31 October 2021 at 1730 UTC to 25 October 2022 at 2300 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the closure of runway 09/27 for the runway maintenance program at Phuket International Airport, to keep the runway in the optimal conditions and enhance the safety of flight operation.
2 Runway 09/27 will be closed on date and time (UTC) as described in attachment table. Period: October 2021 – October 2022.
3.1 All aircraft operators operating during these periods are planned to reschedule the flight operations in accordance with slot allocation.
3.2 Due to traffic congestion, departing and arriving aircrafts operating during this period will be delayed and aircraft operators should plan to carry sufficient contingency fuel.
3.3 All construction equipment will be kept clear when Runway 09/27 is operational.
4.1 The closure program may be revised in the event of forecast or actual adverse weather conditions or other extenuating circumstances.
4.2 Any change to the closure program will be promulgated by NOTAM.
