2.1  The construction works at Surat Thani Airport include Runway 04/ 22 overlay, parallel taxiway construction and airfield lighting system revision.

2.2  Due to the construction, the width of runway strip will be reduced from 150 metres to 100 metres from runway centreline. The construction area covers the length of 1,300 metres from runway end on the right side of threshold runway 04 to threshold runway 22.

2.3  Taxiway A and B will be closed 24 HR and Taxiway M can be used normally.

2.4  The construction works will be performed daily 24 HR except when scheduled flights are operated.

2.5  Safety plan during construction:

- All vehicles and machinery in worksite will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags of flashing yellow lights.

- The construction site will be demarcated by highly visible barriers painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white.

- Personnel in worksite are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
