This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 11 July 2024 at 0100 UTC to 28 February 2025 at 1400 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of new taxiways construction and airfield lighting systems revision at Krabi Airport. The details are as follows:
2.1 The construction works at Krabi Airport include construction of new taxiways and revision of airfield lighting systems.
2.2 The construction of Taxiway P will be conducted 150 metres away from the runway centreline and cover the length of 2,010 metres
in total starting from the threshold of Runway 32.
2.3 The construction of rapid Taxiway G will be conducted 621 metres away from the threshold of Runway 32, 22.5 metres away from
the runway centreline and cover the width of 243.7 metres.
2.4 The construction of Taxiway H will be conducted 84.5 metres away from the runway centreline starting from the threshold of runway 32 and cover the width of 50 metres.
2.5 The construction works will be performed daily between 0100 - 1400 UTC except when scheduled flights are operated.
2.6 The construction areas will be denoted by highly visible orange barriers and unserviceable lights displayed 0.5 metres above ground level at intervals of 3 metres. All vehicles and machinery in the site will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm. orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights. All Personnel in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
