This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect 11 July 2024 at 0100 UTC to 31 December 2024 at 2200 UTC, this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned regarding apron extension, runway and taxiway overlay, construction of taxiway D, runway 03/ 21 turn pad and runway end safety area ( RESA) , and revision of airfield lighting systems at Khon Kaen airport.
2.1 The construction works at Khon Kaen airport include apron extension, overlay of runway and taxiways (A, B and C) construction of taxiway D, runway 03/ 21 turn pad and RESA, and revision of airfield lighting systems.
2.2 Taxiway A and B will be closed 24 HR, start from 11 July 2024 to 31 December 2024.
2.3 Taxiway C can be used normally.
2.4 Runway Threshold Identification Lights (RTIL) at runway 03/ 21 will be unserviceable, start from 11 July 2024 to 31 December 2024.
2.5 PAPI runway 21 will be unserviceable, start from 11 July 2024 to 31 December 2024.
2.6 The construction works will be performed daily between 0100 - 1000 UTC and 1400 - 2200 UTC except when scheduled flights are operated.
2.7 All vehicles and machinery in the worksites will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights. The worksites will be denoted by highly visible barriers painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white. All personnel
in the worksites are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
