REVISED PLANNED ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NEW THIRD RUNWAY AND NEW TAXIWAYS
AT SUVARNABHUMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

1  INTRODUCTION

1.1 This AIC presents revised information on the planned establishment of the new third runway and new taxiways at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
1.2 This AIC will be followed up with an AIRAC AIP Supplement that will provide the relevant details for aircraft operators.

2  DESCRIPTION

2.1 Suvarnabhumi International Airport currently operates with two runways (01L/19R on the western side and 01R/19L on the eastern side). The third runway is a part of the Suvarnabhumi Airport Development Master Plan initiated by the Airports of Thailand Plc., or AOT.
To handle anticipated air traffic increases and reduce airborne and ground delays, the airport management has planned to implement the third runway and its associated taxiways, details are as follows:
2.1.1 The third runway is located at the West side of the existing runway 01L/19R.
2.1.2 The distance between centre lines of runway 01L/19R and the third runway is 400 M.
2.1.3 The third runway is designed to be a precision approach runway category II with the dimension 4000 x 60 M and accommodated up to code F aircraft.
2.1.4 The parallel taxiway (Taxiway F) is extended in its South part by a ‘perimeter taxiway’ (Taxiway F13) allowing aircraft to join taxiway D without crossing the existing runway 01L/19R. Other taxiways have been established in order to connect the third runway to the parallel taxiway.
2.2 New IACs, SIDs, and STARs will be implemented.

3  PLANNED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE

The operation will be carried out as follows:
