  OPENING OF NEW APRON AND NEW TAXIWAY M AND CLOSURE OF EXISTING APRON
AND TAXIWAYS (A AND B) AT SURAT THANI AIRPORT (VTSB)

1  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1  With effect from 8 May 2023 at 0000 UTC to 30 September 2023 at 1400 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the opening of a new apron and new Taxiway M and closure of the existing apron and Taxiways (A and B) at Surat Thani Airport. The details are as follows:

2  OPERATION DETAILS

2.1   A new apron and new Taxiway M will be available for operational use.

2.2  The existing apron and Taxiways (A and B) will be closed to conduct construction for maintenance and repair.

2.3  The construction works will be performed daily between 0000 - 1400 UTC.

2.4  Fixed red lights (unserviceability lights) will be displayed 2.5 metres above ground level at intervals of 3 metres to demarcate construction site. All vehicles and machinery in the site will be equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights. Construction areas will be denoted by highly visible barriers painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white. Personnel
in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
