This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 18 November 2022 at 1200 UTC to 31 May 2023 at 2300 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the construction of Runway 06/24 turn pads and revision of airfield lighting systems at Chumphon Airport. The details are as follows:
2.1 The construction works at Chumphon Airport include construction of Runway 06/24 turn pads and revision of airfield lighting systems (runway edge lights and runway turn pad lights).
2.2 Runway 06/24, taxiways and apron will be closed during the construction period.
2.3 The construction works will be performed daily between 1200 - 2300 UTC and the affected areas will be serviceable after 2300 UTC or 0000 UTC depending on phases of construction.
2.4 Flashing red lights (unserviceability lights) will be displayed 0.5 metres above ground level at intervals of 3 metres to demarcate construction site. Vehicles and machinery in the site are all equipped with 90 x 90 cm orange and white checkered flags or flashing yellow lights. Construction areas will be denoted by highly visible fiberglass barriers with height not exceeding 30 centimetres and painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange and white. Personnel in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
