This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD
1 With effect from 3 June 2022 at 0000 UTC to 8 March 2024 at 1100 UTC, this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of construction works at Buriram Airport such as runway and taxiway extension, apron expansion, cargo terminal construction and airfield lighting system revision.
The details are as follows:
2.1 The construction works at Buriram Airport include runway overlay and extension (new length: 45 x 2900 m), taxiway overlay and extension, apron overlay and expansion, RESA construction, airfield lighting system revision and construction on ARFF Station, AFL building and cargo terminal.
2.2 The construction works will be performed daily from 0000 UTC to 1100 UTC except when flights are operated. Runway, taxiways and apron will be closed during the construction as indicated below:
2.2.1 Runway 04/22 will be closed between 1100 - 2200 UTC and 1300 - 2200 UTC.
2.2.2 Taxiway B will be closed from 3 June 2022 at 0000 UTC to 20 September 2023 at 1100 UTC.
2.2.3 The closure of taxiway A and apron will be notified through NOTAM.
2.3 All vehicles and machinery in the site are not higher than 4 metres and marked by 90 x 90 cm. orange and white checkered flags. Personnel in the site are required to wear a reflective safety vest to meet safety requirements.
2.4 The charts related to the construction are attached herewith.
