  THE CLOSURE OF RUNWAY 03L/21R AT DON MUEANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

1  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

1  With effect from 3 November 2021 at 1700 UTC until 23 February 2022 at 1659 UTC, the purpose of this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the surface maintenance of Runway 03L/21R at Don Mueang International Airport.

2  CONSTRUCTION AREA AND PERIOD

2  Construction area lay-out are shown in Appendix.

3  AIRCRAFT PROCEDURE AND USE OF RUNWAY 03L/21R

3.1  Runway 03L/21R is not allowed for landing and take-off.

3.2  Closed Taxiway E, F, J, O, R and C SOUTH refer to taxiways that have connected to Runway 03L/21R except Taxiway D and S.

4  NAVIGATION AIDS FOR RUNWAY 03L/21R

4.1  During the construction period, PAPI, approach lighting systems and runway lighting system on the construction area are unserviceable.

4.2  Instrument landing system (ILS) of Runway 03L/21R are unserviceable.

5  MARKING AND LIGHTING FOR CONSTRUCTION AREAS

5.1  The construction areas will be demarcated by frangible barriers. The frangible barriers will be painted in alternate bands of red and white or orange, minimum 0.5 metre high and will be lighted at night and during low visibility condition by omni-directional fixed red lights.

5.2  Closure marking are displayed on a closed portion of runway (white crosses) and taxiways (yellow crosses).

5.3  Taxiway Edge Lights, Taxiway Centre line Lights and signage leading to Runway 03L/21R are unserviceable.

6  PRECAUTION

6.1  During the period of the maintenance work process, aircraft should strictly follow ATC instruction to avoid any dangerous circumstances.

6.2  All vehicles and machineries are marked by 90 x 90 cm, red and white checkered flag. Also flashing yellow light shall be installed at the highest point of the vehicles.
