  THE CONSTRUCTION OF RUNWAY WIDTH EXTENSION, OVERLAY OF RUNWAY 16/34, TAXIWAYS PAVEMENT AND REVISION OF RELEVANT LIGHTING SYSTEM AT HUA HIN AIRPORT

  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

  With effect from 18 December 2020 at 0030 UTC to 22 August 2022 at 1800 UTC, this AIP Supplement is to inform all concerned of the construction of runway width extension, overlay of runway 16/34, taxiways pavement and revision of relevant lighting system at Hua Hin Airport. The details are as follows:

  CONSTRUCTION AREAS AND PERIOD

  Runway width extension and overlay of runway 16/34 and taxiways

The construction includes width extension of runway 16/34 from 35 metres to 45 metres and overlay of the runway and taxiways pavement.

  Revision of relevant lighting system

The construction will be conducted at runway 16/34 and taxiway lighting system.

  The construction works will be performed daily from 0030 - 1000 UTC and 1130 - 1800 UTC besides the time period being reserved for scheduled flights.

  Throughout the construction vehicles and machinery in the site are all marked by 90 x 90 cm. orange and white checkered flags and equipped with obstruction lights.

  The height of all machinery and vehicles must not exceed 4 metres.

  The only designated entrance/exit way of all personnel and vehicles as shown in the operation chart.

  Due to the ongoing construction, pilots are advised caution during flight operations (take-off and landing).

  If there is aircraft accident, all personnel, vehicles and equipment must be moved out as directed by air traffic controller and the emergency plan must be followed promptly.

  Airport operators will be informed of declared emergency 30 minutes before conducting construction works.

  This AIP Supplement will remain current until 22 August 2022 at 1800 UTC. Any changes to this AIP Supplement will be notified through NOTAM.
