  ESTABLISHMENT OF THE TEMPORARY ENGINE RUN-UP AREA, THE TEMPORARY ISOLATED AIRCRAFT PARKING AREAS AND THE TEMPORARY HELICOPTER LANDING AREA AT SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT

  INTRODUCTION

This section supplements the following portion(s) of the AIP: AD

  With effect from 21 August 2014, The temporary engine run-up area, the temporary isolated aircraft parking areas and the temporary helicopter landing area will be established as follows :

Due to the engine run-up apron, which is also an area for isolated parking area and temporary helicopter landing, is currently closed for a construction, Suvarnabhumi airport has defined a new area for the temporary engine run-up area, the temporary isolated aircraft parking areas and the temporary helicopter landing area as following.

  THE TEMPORARY ENGINE RUN-UP AREA

  This temporary engine run-up area is defined to minimize the exposure of noise on ground to the surrounding communities. It is located on the portion of taxiway C between C8-C10. The conditions for aircraft wishing to test their engines are as following.

  Operational hours: during 0000 - 1500 UTC.

(Remark : In case of emergency, Suvarnabhumi airport will permit the extension of operation hours to 1900 UTC.)

  Position of Aircraft: Facing north with the exhaust facing south or vice versa.

  THE TEMPORARY ISOLATED AIRCRAFT PARKING AREAS

  Isolate 1 located on the portion of taxiway C, between C8-C10.

  Isolate 2 located on the portion of taxiway D, between D8-D9.

  THE TEMPORARYI HELICOPTER LANDING AREA

  The temporary helicopter landing area is defined on the portion of taxiway C between taxiway C8 - C10. It is intended to be used by the occasional emergency and medical traffic only. The procedures and conditions are as following.

  FATO: on the middle of RWY 01R/19L

  TLOF : on the portion of taxiway C, between C8-C10

  Type of Traffic Permitted: VFR.

  Operational Hours: during sunrise to sunset with minimum ground time not over 60 min.

  Flight Plan Submission: prior to the flight arrival at least 2 hours.

  General Conditions: Pilot must strictly follow ATC’s instruction and comply with airport’s safety and security measures.

  VALIDITY

  This AIRAC AIP Supplement will replace NOTAM Series A1092/14, A1093/14, A1094/14 and will remain current until its contents have been incorporated in AIP Thailand.
